Application Level - Easy
This APS metallic foil has the look of a traditional old gold leaf which had yellowed with age and crackled. It’s a darker yellow gold with chocolate brown cracks and marks running through it. Great for old drinks cabinets or where you need a vintage feel.
Apply the specialist glue, APS Embellishments foil adhesive, to your project, allow to become tacky and then rub the foil onto the glue. Pull away the cellophane backing sheet and you will have a metallic shiny surface on your project which just needs a protective top coat.
NB This foil is NOT suitable for use on textiles.

It is recommended that the APS foil adhesive or another foil size is used to apply these foils. They will not transfer when used with PVA glue.

Fine Line Gold Rub On Metallic Foil by APS
Full instructions are sent with your order, but here’s our recommended way to foil on wood:
1. Paint a base colour on your project - leave to dry for at least 24 hours
2. Apply a thin layer of the Artsyville Foil adhesive
3. Wait for the glue to go clear, and then dry to a tacky but dry feel - this will take at least 1 hour
4. Once tacky, place foil over surface with the pattern side facing up
5. Rub the foil with a cloth/toothbrush & peel back cellophane
6. Topcoat with a water based varnish
