This copper coloured mirror is a must for any maximalist style home!
 
An eye catching mirror in sitting room over a mantle piece or hall way to greet your guests, this mirror is sure to draw attention and become a focal point in a room.
 
Probably made in the 1930/40s this mirror with bevelled glass was made of oak and is extremely heavy and solid. A metallic copper foil of greens, copper pinks and yellow golds, has ben applied to the whole mirror frame, updating it to something very special and absolutely unique.
 
The mirror today is the original glass, and so has the patina of nearly 100 years of age with foxed glass. Foxing is where the original silver mirror backing has either worn away or been damaged by dust and mould, causing spots and pattern to the mirror.
 
The mirror is in its original form on the side which hangs against the wall, the pictures show the back with original writing from manufacture. There are fitting to hang the mirror horizontally, but if you would prefer to hang the mirror vertically new fittings would need to be attached.
