Have you ever wondered how you could give some new life to your shoes? Looking to add some bling to your shoes?

Upcycling shoes with foils and leaf is a growing trend - here's my top tips when using Artistic Painting Studios - APS - foils on shoes

1.Make sure your shoes are clean, any mud or dirt is going to stop your foils from sticking

2. If you are going to be foiling onto canvas or fabric shoes, seal them first with a water based varnish like Polyvine * to stop the glue seeping into the fabric

3. Apply Artysville Adhesive * to the areas to be foiled and leave for at least 12 hours to become dry and super tacky

4. When deciding which APS foil * to use, I'd recommend using one of the textile foils which won't flake.

5. Work in sections, rather than trying to cover the whole shoe at once

6. Once finished, protect with Pentart Leather Varnish * which will not crack as your shoe moves when worn.
