Alumilite Amazing Opaque White Casting Resin
The Amazing Casting Resin is an easy to use, super-fast curing, general purpose opaque-white urethane casting resin.
Being opaque white it takes dyes beautifully, giving you vivid bright opaque colours.
This is a casting resin, so it isn't designed to use in thin coats, like sealing images or filling shallow bezels
Easy to use: 1:1 mix ratio by weight.
Super fast - it begins to harden in about 3 minutes, and can be de-moulded after about 10 min! You'll see it harden in front of your eyes, the translucent yellow starts to change into an opaque white, it is fascinating to watch. Great if you are impatient!
Once cured, it can be painted with acrylic paint, stained, drilled and machined.
Resin must be kept dry and in sealed bottles at all times.
TOP TIP FOR STORAGE: Keep the caps of each resin bottle on tight at all times. Even during use, pour out what you need, then put the caps back on immediately until your next use. This will keep your resin in good working condition for as long as possible.
When working with resins we recommend:
Wear gloves, a plastic apron and goggles
Use a respirator mask
Work in a well ventilated area
